The Delphi Indy 300 was full of blocking, contact, and finger pointing.

Apparantly Roger Penske wasn’t too fond of Buddy Rice’s move on Darren Manning in Sunday’s Delphi Indy 300.
Roger said:
“This isn’t dodge ‘em at 200 mph; these are open-wheel cars,” longtime team owner Roger Penske said. “This is a game where you’ve got to take care of each other.
Rice got airborne on lap 186 which ended in a spectacular crash. Fortunately, Rice walked away from it. It could have been a lot worse due to the amount of blocking going on during the race.
Here are some quotes from the article:
Manning’s team owner, Chip Ganassi, called it “an abrupt (passing) move” by Rice. Other drivers said it was an accident waiting to happen.
“He did it many times during the race,” Helio Castroneves said of Rice. “Manning did the same thing. (The accident) got both who were doing the same thing.
Series points leader Tony Kanaan said there was more blocking Sunday than any race he can remember. That seemed to be a jab at Rice, who took quick exception, given the contact he said Kanaan gave him on the lap prior to the flip.
“He should know,” Rice said. “He was one of them (blocking).”
