Hurricane Postpones First Road Course Test

Due to the fact that Hurricane Frances is forecasted to tear through Florida Thursday and Friday, the IRL has postponed a test session at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The test was going to be the first outing for IRL cars in road course trim. The goal was test the new road racing components for next years race schedule that contains two road course events.

No date or location for the re-scheduled test has been announced although the IRL already has one official ‘Open’ road course test scheduled for the Infineon Raceway in California, site of the first ever IRL road course event in August 2005.
