RLR Andersen’s Andrew Prendeville Races Laps for Best Friends
Many celebrities shill for their favorite charities, but Andrew Prendeville can put his arm around and hug the ‘best friends’ whose cause he champions.
Since his rookie Firestone Indy Lights season, RLR Andersen Racing’s Andrew Prendeville has promoted a very special interest: Racing Laps for Best Friends. This weekend, ahead of the Indy Lights 100-mile race at Kansas Speedway, Prendeville will be appearing at the Kansas City Humane Society to raise funds for the animal welfare organization he partnered in 2007.

Prendeville has raised over $50,000 in slightly over one year for the Best Friends Animal Shelter and its partner organizations nationwide in an effort to end euthanization of abandoned animals. He’s even adopted a mutt of his own named Ballsy, whose friendship is the subject of a blog Prendeville authors on the organization’s website.
