IRL Car Count Down For 2005?

With the start of the 2005 Indy Racing League season less than three months away, only eight teams have firmly committed to the upcoming season.

TSN.ca reports that the IRL car count is going to be down in 2005, with only 18 confirmed cars at this point. This could mean trouble come May when the Indy 500 has 33 spots on the grid. Maybe AGR could field another 4 cars and help out the car count?
