Compiled in part from Indy Racing League Media Reports:
Roth Racing filed an entry March 12th for the 91st Indianapolis 500, naming team owner Marty Roth as the driver.
The 48-year old Canadian will attempt to make the field of thirty-three after failing to make the race in 2006, suffering a last-second spin and crash that left him uninjured but unqualified for the Memorial day Race.
The 91st Indianapolis 500 is scheduled for Sunday, May 27th at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Entries must be postmarked by midnight Wednesday, April 4th.
Roth, from Toronto, will drive the No. 25 Roth Racing Dallara/Honda/Firestone. David Milby is the chief mechanic, and wife Margaret Roth is the team manager.
An Indy Pro Series veteran, Roth could make his third Indianapolis 500 start. His career-best start of 29th came in 2005 in a Roth Racing-PDM Racing entry. He finished a career-best 24th as a rookie in 2004 for his Roth Racing team.
Roth’s entry brings the total number of entrants to the 91st Greatest Spectacle in Racing to five.
Buddy Rice and Sarah Fisher entered two cars, one primary and one backup for each, Wednesday March 7th from the Dreyer & Reinbold team.
