Rain Washes Away Wednesday Indy Practice

The rains came and continued on Wednesday as on-track activity at Indianapolis came to a screeching halt.
You can’t drive on an oval when it’s wet; and that fact became amply clear today at Indianapolis Motor Speedway when rain showers that began around 10 AM continued through most of the day and closed the track to practice ahead of Saturday’s Pole Day qualifying.

The forecast for tomorrow doesn’t look very promising either, with the weather man calling for continuing showers in the central Indiana area for the next forty-eight hours.
Off-track, Tony Stewart hinted he’d like to get back into an IndyCar someday; Graham Rahal claimed he’s a better driver than his father, and Milka Duno wooed fans and reporters with her smile and laugh in the garage area.
