Tall Vision on-Call

Patrick Dempsey, ABC TV’s star of the popular Grey’s Anatomy drama, shared the stage with Indy Racing League drivers Tomas Scheckter and Eddie Carpenter during Tuesday’s IRL teleconference.
Vision Racing’s duo co-starred with new co-owner Patrick Dempsey as the team discussed its partnership and plans for the coming season.
In anticipation of the IRL’s next open test session at Homestead raceway March 2-5 Scheckter and Carpenter pledged to “help each other equally” in reaching the front of the pack.
Dempsey flatly stated a wish for the reunification of open wheel racing, summarizing with “people are trying to make that happen.” For his own part, Dempsey is using his considerable personal appeal to lure a sponsor to the team.
As to getting behind the wheel of an Indy Car, Patrick said “I have no business at that!” He did, however, express a desire to try his hand at the wheel of the Pro Series machine on a road course.
