Teams Focus on Race Prep at Thursday Indy Practice

IndyCar Series teams prepped for Sunday May 25th’s Indianapolis 500 by making extended runs on full fuel tanks at the Speedway on Thursday.
Team Penske’s Ryan Briscoe circulated the oval fastest, turning in a field-fastest lap of 223.708 mph early in the afternoon, before turning his attention to an extended period of lapping under race-like conditions.

KV Racing’s Will Power turned the fastest lap of those drivers not yet qualified for the race.
“The extra time on the track today really helped us,” said the Australian racer, who will tackle the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the first time in the Memorial Day race.
In other news, Andretti Green Promotions completed its purchase of the Grand Prix of Toronto, a race that enjoys a long history of popularity among both drivers and fans.
