Changes in engine manufacture, timing, and business considerations may loom large in the future of the Indy Racing League’s Bombardier Lear Jet 500 “under-the-lights” Texas Motor Speedway race.
Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage has put the IRL on notice: one engine manufacturer and the delay of the Bombardier Lear Jet 500 into the ever-hotter Texas month of June may be the straws that broke the camel’s back.

The IRL has conducted an evening open-wheel event at Texas Motor Speedway every year since the Fort Worth facility was opened in 1997.
