The announcement of Tomas Scheckter as Vision Racing’s second driver confirms what most observors believed would be the result of Panther’s dissolution and auction of its cars and material. Where the other remaining “orphan” drivers of the 2005 season, specifically Vitor Meira and Patrick Carpentier, will land remains conjecture. Scheckter’s seat makes a total of sixteen known driver/car combinations to emerge from the off-season transition of sponsorship and engine manufacture experienced by the IRL.

Jeez…that’s a step in the wrong direction for poor Tomas. This guy went from preimere team to back marker in the blink of an eye. Having already run his course with the likes of Ganassi couldn’t have helped his bargaining position.
And Vitor Meira without a ride…WHAT A CRIME!
Tomas. This guy went from premiere team to back marker in the blink of an eye.
Not the first time for Jody’s “erratic” son, and probably not the last. His past employment history is anything but stable (and that’s not including the embarrassing reason for Jaguar F1 sacking him)
