Indiana Native Pens “Everyman Blog” for Red Bull MotoGP
Hoosier Greg Sickmeier parlayed an interest in 2006 MotoGP champion Nicky Hayden into a supporting role for the 2008 Red Bull Moto GP at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Sickmeier pens “The Experience”, a fan’s blog of what it’s like to follow the globe-trotting two-wheel set to Indianapolis, as the Brickyard prepares for its first motorcycle race since its beginnings nearly one hundred years ago.
The Experience: Gathering Before the Green Flag
What started as an inquiry from IMS staff regarding Greg’s replica 2007 CBR1000RR Repsol Honda turned into a photo shoot, then a video, then a ride in the PR promotional parade…and finally into words on the website.
Sickmeier will continue the effort forward to the September 14th debut of MotoGP in Indianapolis, recounting his once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rub elbows with “The Circus”.
