Biffle Tames Darlington

Once again Kasey Kahne’s pole position start didn’t translate to a win at Darlington. It was Greg Biffle’s night to shine with a win in the Dodge Charger 500. Kahne lead the first 34 laps but ultimately ended up 21st.

In a night of much wall-banging, the first casualty was Kevin “Happy” Harvick. However it was the racing surface and not the wall that un-did his night. A piece of the track came loose and went into his radiator. He finished 37th.
It was another awesome night for Roush with three cars in the top ten (Martin, Kenseth and the winner Biffle). Some really stable teams are notching good finishes every week now - the #48, #17 and #20 teams seem to be quite evenly matched race over race.
The “tough guy” award goes to Dale Jr tonight who was driving with some sort of flu bug, but still managed to pull out a 5th place finish. The #8 team is another bunch that seems to be able to figure out ways to get top 5’s and top 10’s each week no matter what gets thrown at them (example: Martinsville).
