Busch hits back at Bristol

After a long week of controversy surrounding Kurt Busch getting his lights punched out last week at the end of the Michigan race, Kurt struck back on the track last night at Bristol. “Free Jimmy” t-shirts and a chorus of boos greeted Kurt Busch at Bristol, which no doubt made Jimmy Spencer smile. However, I’m sure he was less than pleased when Kurt was able to work through the distractions and come up with a win. Of course the win was not without controversy of its own.
Kurt spun out Sterling Marlin to take second place (killing me in the NASCAR fantasy points). NASCAR officials warned Kurt after the move and his crew reminded him that he was on probation…

Jamie McMurray had one of his best finishes this season coming home in third place. Michael Waltrip and Jeff Green clashed in front of Rusty Wallace causing a wreck that sent Rusty to the hospitcal for CT scans. Rusty was released shortly thereafter.
Matt Kenseth pulled another steady run out of his hat further padding his now seemingly insurmoutable points lead over Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon.
Kevin Harvick finished off a tough weekend with a second place finish, his second in a row.
