Toyota may be willing to build a carburated push-rod engine to go NASCAR racing, but will BMW, Merceds-Benz, (other than a Dodge) or Audi? I don’t think so. And to go racing in Europe, would mean a continuing expansion of the schedule or a loss of races here. Again, I don’t think so.
It’s a nice vision to have (international competition) but it would not stand up against the competition of European road racing. In this case I think Humpy’s vision is a little blurred.
