Kurt Busch Gives Roush Pocono Sweep

Written by John Davison · July 25, 2005

Kurt Busch, starting from outside on the front row, swept into the lead and almost never looked at the rear bumper of another car all day in the Pennsylvania 500. At the earlier Pocono event, Carl Edwards gave team owner Jack Roush the team’s first win of the season at the triangular speedway.

Busch led the most laps, dominating the race before beating out Rusty Wallace on a green/white/checker finish that ended under yellow when Carl Edwards and Kasey Kahne got together and spun. After the earlier race this year at the Pennsylvania triangular track when 22 tire failures occurred, this time only five tires failed but there was a large number of cautions for debris on the track.

    Kurt,
I respect your opinion no matter what your future brings and my 10 year old son and I plan on being a Kurt Busch fan for years to come. However, I would much rather see you drive a Ford.
I will be in Bristol in a couple of weeks. If you get a chance look me up.
    Brent from Indiana…
    Thanks
