Yeah, I know what your thinking. Whats the big deal about Rusty finally ending his drought and winning a race? Lets wait and see how long before he does it again, right? Well, the big deal is that the “Geezers” still got what it takes. And my money is on the line that says Rusty will qualify for the playoffs. Now all’s we’ve got to do is get Mark Martin, Dale Jarret, and Ricky Rudd some wins and it will truly be an interesting playoff format. Vets against the brats. I’m tired of calling them young guns.

I think he may do better than just qualify for the “Chase,” he may win the whole shootin match outright.
And THEN will he retire?
Getting the monkey off his back should revitalize Rusty. I think he’ll have his best season in many years this year.
With the way NASCAR is these days, anyone who qualifies for the playoffs could win. Whoever can field consistently strong cars without having any bad luck will win it all.
