It’s been close to a year now since the news leaked out that the A&E cable network would be airing a reality show based on John Force and his three daughters. It is just a little over a week away from the debut episode and the clips that I have seen should have the folks at A&E and the NHRA doing back flips.
A&E: Driving Force
NHRA.com: Driving Force: Behind the Scenes
When it comes to cable reality TV, no one does it better than A&E. Many of their reality shows like Dog the Bounty Hunter, Inked, Airline, Family Plots or Growing up Gotti are huge hits and have developed a loyal and devoted following. The reality show based on the Force’s family is called ‘Driving Force’ and should bring in legions of fans that have never been exposed to drag racing. I am waiting for the first full episode next week but I have seen some preview clips released through A&E’s website. From those clips, it looks like the cameras focus is squarely on Ashley Force. With all due respect to John, Laurie, Brittany and Courtney, that is where the cameras should be pointed.
All three daughters are very attractive but Ashley is absolutely gorgeous. Combine her traffic stopping good looks with the fact that she is racing a Top Alcohol dragster (the fastest non-professional drag car in the NHRA) and she is poised to turn professional whenever she feels ready and her dad gives his blessing, she will be the early favorite on the show. Toss in her charismatic personality and her willingness to not clam up when the cameras are on make her easily the one everyone will be watching. I am willing to bet the NHRA brass is hoping this show will boost the public image of drag racing much like other reality shows have bolstered the careers of other reality stars. Let’s face it, people that have appeared on TV shows like The Bachelor or Survivor will show up in gossip magazines like Star or US. I am not predicting that Driving Force will launch the Force family into tabloid celebrity status but I am sure the NHRA wouldn’t mind if it did. Who wouldn’t want to see John Force’s face on the cover of People magazine while at the checkout line at your local grocery store?
Driving Force premiers on A&E on July 17th at 9 pm eastern. Set your Tivo, your DVRs or even if you have an old school VCR if you can’t be home to watch it as it airs. If this show takes off like many of the other A&E reality shows, move over Danica Patrick and welcome in Ashley Force to the limelight. For the growth and popularity of drag racing, let’s all hope this show is a huge hit.

I have to agree with the point that Ashley Force is GEORGIOUS, but i would also like to add that Courtney, and Brittany aren’t to far behind.
